Job Details
Small, privately held software company offering full medical and dental coverage, Simple IRA plan, paid vacation, informal setting seeks full-time technical support representative. Work from our beautiful Carlsbad office, or remote from your home or private office.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for troubleshooting end-user technical issues over the phone.
Track and resolve software, hardware and network problems.
Perform data entry to record incoming Help Desk requests.
Research, isolate, resolve and follow-up with end-users on software questions and concerns in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve computer related problems/issues.
Ability to work with multiple Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Strong knowledge of PC computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices, Microsoft Window, 2000, XP.
Understanding of network topologies and network troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to interact effectively with end-users.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, with a strong attention to detail.
Pluses:
Technical training and certifications relating to the job functions.
Previous experience in a technical support helpdesk environment.
Knowledge of the electrical construction industry.
