New Software Enhancements

September 2011

The latest version of Plumbing Bid Manager (PBM) contains a major database structure change, from Microsoft Access to the Microsoft SQL database engine. SQL is proven to provide greater stability and data integrity in multi-user environments.

Along with this change, PBM users will find the option to link with OnCenter’s On Screen Takeoff® (OST) program. With this link, PBM users are able to seamlessly import OST projects, and complete bid process in PBM. This highly requested feature has already become extremely popular among our users in the electrical construction industry.

Specific new enhancements found in this release.

A large variety of fixture rough-in assemblies were added, for “Underground” as well as “Top-Out”, for DWV and Water. This will eliminate the need to takeoff these fittings individually.
Increased display speed on all takeoff pull-down selections.
Improved On Screen Takeoff® link: Now able to export to an existing OST conditions list.

Specific fixes for problems found in our previous release.

Fixed: Anomaly in sales tax calculation.
Fixed: Labor calculations for ‘additional items’.
Fixed: Assembly within an assembly takeoff bug.
Fixed: Improved UI library to prevent random crashing.
